Refunds, Returns & Warranty

At Fridge Friend, our mission is to help households reduce food waste and save money. If something isn’t right, we promise to deal with it fairly and quickly.

This page explains when refunds, replacements and returns are available, and who pays for return postage.

Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered, please contact us within 30 days with your order number and photos.

Once confirmed, we’ll provide a remedy in line with the Australian Consumer Law. This may include a repair, replacement, or refund. In these cases, we may cover the cost of return postage. We may provide a prepaid label or reimburse reasonable return shipping.

90-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We want Fridge Friend to genuinely help reduce food waste in your home.

If you’ve used Fridge Friend for up to 90 days and don’t feel it made a difference, you can request your money back.

We’ll ask a couple of quick questions to help us learn and improve. Refunds are processed once the product is received back. Return postage for guarantee claims is typically the customer's responsibility, unless a product fault is involved.

3-Year Replacement Warranty

Every Fridge Friend is covered by a 3-year replacement warranty against defects in materials or workmanship under normal household use.

Covered:

• manufacturing or material defects

• structural failure of the casing under normal use

Not covered:

• accidental damage, impact, or misuse

• incorrect heating/refreshing

• normal wear and tear

• commercial or industrial use

• lost or discarded items

We may ask for photos and, in some cases, request that the product be returned for inspection.

Approved claims are replaced like-for-like. Refunds are not normally issued under warranty. For approved warranty claims, we cover the cost of replacement shipping.

Change-of-Mind Returns (30 Days)

If you simply decide you don’t want the product anymore, you may return it within 30 days, provided it is:

• in good condition and not excessively used

• includes all reasonable components

For change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for return postage. Original outbound shipping costs are not refunded. Refunds are processed once the item is received and inspected.

Hygiene & Condition

Because Fridge Friend is used in food storage environments, returned items must be safe and hygienic to handle.

Products returned in unsafe, heavily soiled, or damaged condition may be declined or partially refunded.

International Orders

Outside Australia:

• Faulty/incorrect items: we cover reasonable return shipping

• Change-of-mind: customers cover return postage

Local consumer laws may also apply.

How to Start a Return or Claim

Contact our team before sending anything back via hello@fridgefriend.com.au:

We’ll usually ask for:

  1. Order number
  2. Photos or description of the issue
  3. Preferred outcome (repair, replacement, refund where applicable)

Unapproved returns may be delayed or declined.

Refund Timing

Refunds are processed to the original payment method once the product is received and inspected, typically within 3–7 business days.

Your Rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
